Ibsen Photonics expands ROCK spectrometer line with the UV range
Press Release. Copenhagen, Denmark – January 20th, 2011
Ibsen Photonics (www.ibsenphotonics.com ), a global leader in fused silica transmission gratings and spectrometer modules, today announced the launch of the ROCK UV line of industrial grade, robust OEM spectrometers for the 200 – 400 nm wavelength range. The ROCK UV spectrometers enable typically 4 times higher optical throughput than traditional spectrometers due to a near on-axis beam geometry and the use of Ibsen Photonics’ highly efficient transmission gratings.
The ROCK UV spectrometers come in three standard variants using either a CCD for low cost applications, a back-thinned CCD for low light applications, or a CMOS line array sensor for applications requiring high dynamic range and high signal-to-noise ratio. Furthermore, the OEM friendly design allows adaptation of detector and electronics to enable customers to re-use existing electronics and software designs.
VP of Business Development, Sales, and Marketing at Ibsen Photonics, Thomas Rasmussen, says, “We have seen a huge interest in the ROCK spectrometers in the visible and near infrared wavelength ranges due to the high optical throughput and very stable performance, so it is a pleasure to be able to offer these same benefits in the UV range as well.”
